FSL Donate Now Button

Happy Autumn! As the children in our lives gear up for the spookiest of nights, we at The Fund for Sarah Lawrence continue to raise critical funds to bridge the “scary” gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating each phenomenal Sarah Lawrence student. As each of us has our favorite trick or treat goodie, we know each of you have your own reasons for giving to your Alma Mater. Whatever your reason to give, your donations to The Fund for Sarah Lawrence are a treat to the entire College, and enable our student body to learn, to grow, to transform.

You can mail your contribution to the 2013 Fund for Sarah Lawrence to 1 Mead Way/Bronxville, NY 10708; call us at 914-395-2533 or donate on line at www.sarahlawrence.edu/give.

The FSL team is grateful for your commitment to and investment in Sarah Lawrence. Happy Halloween!

Save the Date for Reunion 2013: Thursday, June 6th - Sunday, June 9th.

Reunion weekend is the perfect time to reminisce, reconnect, and return to Sarah Lawrence. You'll have the opportunity to take a seminar, go on local tours, explore new buildings on campus, cheer or perform at a cabaret, admire the work of fellow alumni at an art exhibit, and of course dance to your heart's content on Westlands Lawn. If all of the above works up an appetite, there's always midnight breakfast after the dance and a champagne brunch the next morning! Faculty also look forward to seeing you during Reunion, so don't miss out! In 2013, alumni with undergraduate class years ending in 3 and 8 will be celebrating milestone Reunions. All other alumni are welcome as well! For a sneak peak of the joys of Reunion weekend, check out this video created by Abby Urban '12. Upcoming Renovation of Lecture Hall

The lecture hall in the Titsworth building on campus has seen a lot of history. Not only have there been countless courses and presentations by our own esteemed faculty, but renowned visiting scholars in the arts and sciences have also given talks or participated in panels in this venue over the years. The lecture hall, which seats approximately 90, is the only lecture hall of this size on campus; its intimacy and charm are part of the reason it is such a sought-out space. However, the technology, sound system, and lighting are terribly outdated. Thanks to a generous gift from Marjorie Leff Miller ’53, and husband Morgan L. Miller, the old lecture hall will be redesigned and completely transformed into a 21st century facility with state-of-the-art technology. Construction will begin in spring of 2013, and the College will be ready to host exciting programming in the newly-refurbished Marjorie Leff Miller ’53 Lecture Hall by the following fall. We are so grateful to Margie and Morgan for this wonderful gift!

Congratulations to Josh Selig ’86! Josh wrote and directed the movie “Small Potatoes – Meet the Small Potatoes,” a 45-minute animated rock mockumentary, and Disney Junior has recently picked up the rights to its TV movie debut. “Small Potatoes – Meet the Small Potatoes” (a Little Airplane Productions film) follows the rise, break-up and triumphant comeback of a group of singing spuds and stars acclaimed actor Malcolm McDowell (Entourage, Clockwork Orange) as the band’s manager. Its music was written and produced by the Little Airplane team and features original songs by the late Jerry Bock (Fiddler on the Roof). This film’s American premiere is set for early 2013 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, and it will debut on Disney Junior in Japan in late 2013.
