Tweet Critically: SLC Steps Up Social Media in the Classroom

Dominique Fluker '14 and Ryan Kahn '15 want alumni to know about SLC Professor Collette Sosnowy's new class, "You Are What You Tweet," a course focused on the "publicly-private and privately-public" nature of social media. Students immerse themselves in the digital world through posts, tweets, status updates, images, and videos, dissolving the boundaries between online and offline. Professor Sosnowy has coined the term Conference 2.0 for the course – conference projects are submitted as weekly blog posts, open to comments from classmates and the SLC community. The blogs, hosted on MySLC, facilitate an exchange of ideas to improve the breadth and depth of conference projects. .
