Celebrate National Philanthropy Week with #5Days5Ways |
Celebrate National Philanthropy Week (November 11-15) with Sarah Lawrence! This year, we're highlighting all the ways your donation supports the daily life of students at Sarah Lawrence, with our campaign, #5Days5Ways. All gifts made by our alumni in the classes of 2004 to 2019 from November 11-15 will be matched, dollar for dollar, by an anonymous donor--up to a total of $25,000. All gifts will also be put to immediate use. You can also celebrate with your classmates at alumni events in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Washington DC this week. Register for events online.

Alumni Relations Welcomes Christina Camardella |
The Office of Alumni Relations welcomes our new director, Christina Camardella. Christina comes to us most recently from Yonkers Partners in Education, where she oversaw all development and volunteer engagement activities for the organization whose mission it is to help low-income students ensure that they are ready for, enroll in, and successfully complete college. Alumni in New York may have already seen Christina at Faculty on the Road or Homecoming; she looks forward to meeting more alumni at upcoming events, like the holiday parties!

Concentrating on Alumni |
Krystyna Henke '84 has been building the alumni community in Toronto for the last year. "My favorite part...is getting to know such unique and interesting individuals and seeing them enjoy meeting each other in the context of an inspiring event and hearing them exchange stories about their time at Sarah Lawrence and also their current lives. Even though many didn’t know each other at Sarah Lawrence and graduated in different years, a connection is there." Read Krystyna's full feature.

Trick or Treat Throwback |
Guess who our student worker, Sarah Almeida '21, was for Halloween? An alum! She rocked her mom’s vintage jeans, groovy sunglasses, and tie-dye. Books by Gerda Lerner, who founded the Women’s History graduate program in 1972, were the final touch, inspired by Sarah's current courses. Spending time with alumni or sporting some College merch? Snap a pic and post on social media with #ilovesarahlawrence!

Last Word: I’ll see you at the next ‘big’ reunion year. In the meanwhile, my hat is off to all of my classmates and the other quirky, independent-minded, creative, and generous-spirited graduates of (and candidates for) Sarah Lawrence College.
